The Sanitizer-General I refer to in my last Japan Times column (below) is at it again:<\/p>\n

Yomiuri<\/strong>: Tokyo Governor Ishihara Shintaro (79) said at his regular press conference on August 3, regarding the difficulties the Japanese judo team is having at the London Olympics, \u201cWatching Westerners do judo is like watching beasts fight. An internationalized judo has lost its exquisite charm.\u201d He added, \u201cIn Brazil, it\u2019s said that they eat chocolate in their norimaki, but I wouldn\u2019t call that \u2018sushi\u2019. It\u2019s a shame that judo has also gone the same way.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Translation Debito)<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s the entire article. How sporting of him. These are the type of people who, for example, seek to keep NJ out of Sumo by limiting stable to one \u201cforeign wrestler\u201d, and they include naturalized citizens as \u201cforeign\u201d as well (unlawful under the Nationality Law; still waiting for the lawsuit).
