Moving on:<\/p>\n<p>Hiranuma&#8217;s people claim this is a &#8220;taboo topic&#8221; to cut through (as if to tempt the voters with a &#8220;forbidden fruit&#8221; discussion), but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=12769\">people have been talking about this issue plenty<\/a> &#8212; even making some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=12613\">mean-spirited policy proposals in recent months<\/a>). \u00a0For this ilk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=601\">labeling any discussion that they are on the losing end of as &#8220;taboo&#8221; to the point of believing that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=12697\">blaming foreigners for just about anything<\/a> gains you\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=6848\">political capital<\/a>. \u00a0 Look how this alleged\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=12769\">&#8220;NJ welfare cheats&#8221; issue<\/a>\u00a0has become\u00a0one of Jisedai&#8217;s\u00a0four (well, three, actually, since the first issue mentioned is a grumble instead of a substantive claim) planks in their platform. \u00a0Even though, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.debito.org\/?p=12769\">as we have discussed here earlier<\/a>, this is\u00a0a non-issue.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s more rotten to say about this upcoming election, of course (again, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/community\/2014\/12\/10\/issues\/electoral-dysfunction-leaves-japans-voters-feeling-impotent\/\">read Colin Jones&#8217;
