COMMENT FROM LIST MONITOR: They certainly want a lot of qualification (a PhD gets a two-year contract? When many Japanese faculty in Japanese universities don't have PhDs or even a Masters yet they get tenure?) for the position. An age limitation of 35 goes against Ministry of Education guidelines disapproving of age capping.
