  • Well I just read the first edition a few months ago for the second time. Guess I’ll still order this one for Christmas though. I just can’t express how valuable this book has been to me with words. Even though I don’t live in Japan anymore, I still have some connections down there and sometimes it pains me to see that Debito is pretty much the only one who realizes that Japan needs immigrants, not the other way around, and therefore has to change the way it treats its immigrants. If I would such a comment on any other website people would tell me that I’m pushing “western views” (whatever that means) onto Japan and that Japan should never change (“Japan for the Japanese” yada yada).

So yeah, as always, thank for the all the hard work and uphill battles over the years Debito.

    — And thank you for reading the First Edition not once, but twice! Take a look on the info site to see how you can get a discount. Better yet, download the promo flyer and get your local or school library to buy it so you can borrow it.
