Hi Blog. My next Japan Times JUST BE CAUSE column will be coming out in a little over 24 hours. The topic: My annual round-up of the Top Ten Human Rights Issues that affected NJ residents in Japan in 2012. I do this every year, and it’s fun (although rather arduous, as I essentially have to write ten tiny stand-alone essays of under 200 words each, then put them in a hierarchy). I won’t give away what made the list this year (I also have five other issues that “bubbled under”).  Enjoy! Arudou Debito

      Hear, hear!
‘For everyone living in Japan (not just NJ), 2012 demonstrated that the Japanese system is beyond repair or reform.’

Wishing you sir, and all the regulars at debito.org, a very happy new year.
